Gap Free Children Dentistry
Children who are eligible for the Child Dental Benefits Schedule can take advantage of one family dentals gap-free dentistry services.
Children ages 2 to 17 who live in homes that pass a means test are eligible for capped benefits for basic dental services under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule. The means test will be identical to that of the current Medicare Teen Dental Plan, which requires certain government payments, such as Family Tax Benefit Part A, to be received.
- Patients will have access to dental benefit entitlements that are capped (indexed annually) over a two-year period, and basic needed dental treatment services like examinations, x-rays, fillings, and extractions will be covered.
- The benefit is set at $1000 per child as of 2014.
Comprehensive examination, scaling (clean), and fluoride treatment are all part of gap-free paediatric dentistry:
- These plans are for kids who dont have Child Dental Benefits Schedule but do have other private health insurance.
- For kids without private health insurance, a thorough checkup, clean scaling, and fluoride treatment cost just $150.
